119: Explaining How a Relationship Began
How do you go about telling people the story of how your relationship began, if it started as an affair, or in the context of an infidelity situation of any kind? First of all, you don’t owe anyone any particular explanation. You don’t owe anyone “the truth” and you have the right to your privacy, to keep secrets, and even lie if you want to. You don’t have to tell anyone anything.
However, you might want to share your story. There may be truths you feel you need to tell, even if they could be considered inconvenient. How you explain or don’t explain your relationship’s origins is up to you. So, what do you want to do?
If you’re concerned about how you might explain how your affair relationship began, tune in this week to discover why, even though there will be people in your life who demand answers, you don’t owe anyone an explanation. Dr. Marie Murphy is sharing why judgment from others is an inevitability, but why you always have the opportunity to accept the humanness of your actions, and decide how you actually want to move forward.
